Kitchen Cabinet Painting

Our unique specialty is our ability to professionally paint existing stained, lacquered, or previously painted Kitchen Cabinets, and/or Bath vanities. We are able to paint them for less than 1/2 the cost of refacing cabinets, or replacing cabinets, and have had consistently excellent results in the Triangle, since 1989.

Most Painting Contractors do not paint cabinets, as they are like furniture, and need to be painted properly for them to turn out well. Over the years we have had the patience and experience, to have perfected the method of painting cabinets, and we have a lot of confidence, pride and joy in having done so. You will not be disappointed! The entire project generally takes approximately four to five days to complete, using the following procedures:

• We remove the cabinet doors and take them to our shop.
• In the kitchen we paint the outer shell of the cabinets and the front of the drawers, so all your belongings can remain in the cabinets and drawers during the following process:
• The Cabinets receive any light sanding and/or spackling where needed,
• one coat of appropriate top quality Sherwin Williams oil-base primer,
• caulking where needed, and the application of two finish coats of premium Sherwin Williams semi-gloss oil-base enamel.
• Meanwhile at the shop we sand, prep, spray prime, and spray finish the doors.
• Once they are dry we return the freshly sprayed cabinet doors from our shop, re-install the door hardware, and re-hang the doors.
• This is also the perfect opportunity to upgrade your hardware by having us istall new hinges, handles, or knobs.
• Depending on the type of doors you have you may even be able to change the style of the hinges...
